Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned! It has been 2 x days since my last blog and I am now writing this from the UK.
Why? Various things, we were all knackered and freezing cold, as we moved north it got colder and we found ourselves in the Air Du Fil Guest House (with a Pool!, great garden, but the tempreture dropping down to 20degree's) Bloody Freezing! Not saying we werent used to the cold, but I nearly poked Mikes eye's out with my pert nips!
What a grewat find the by the way, Cindy (honestly that was here name!) what a great host, so after a picnic basket that was delivered to the tables in front of the lodging's (Tracy thought she was Yogi Bear!...picnic basket!). We set off on a slight detour through the Epernay Champagne growing regions.
We travelled North to find a war grave, Mikes great uncle who died in World War 1 at the age of 20, only a month before the end of the war. The graveyard, as like all the other was imacculate and full credit to the french people that tend it. What was quite hardeninging, was we passed more than 5 UK large grave sites around the Somme, as we travelled towards Amiens.
Back on the main roads again, we travelled for around 2 hours on the Paeage before dropping into a Aire (layby to the un-initiated) for a Picnic of Bread, Pates and Cheese was down by a small Beer, before the final push up the coast to Hardelot.
Lovely hotel around 1 mile from the coast, with every sport that you could imagine, hoever no room at the restuarant for us weary travellers, so we would have to go into town in the cars for dinner. Only thing they did have was large Beer ! so we thought we better try one!

Bit of a sun bath, by the pool with Andy and Mike doing their best to scare the kids, with their swimming prowess!
So into Hardelot for a walk by the Sea (more like Clacton says Andy!) so we stopped for a regroup at an Irish Bar (always an Irish bar somewhere!) where we had a Murphys and 2 x Chablis for the ladies!
Then onto a resturant called Cote De Rotie (where we thought we might get some Chicken....not happening!) so we ended up with Steak and Chips for Tracy and I and Moules, Moules and Moules for Helen and Mike, with a Steak to add final measure.
Final drink back at the Hotel, where a UK Golf Society had just had dinner (all 40 of them!) so they started to get a little loud in the bar, but I managed to beat Mike in what can only be called Shambolic Snooker! 46 / 28, highest break 6!
Trying tyo sleep, went to the loo at 4am to still hear the bloody golfers in the bar (I thought we were bad! but blimey!). Never mind, we were all young oince.
