After a well earned break at the Wellness Hotel, upsetting as many Germans as we could during the process! We set off to tackle the Furkas Pass (The bit we had already done) and the GrimselPass. Unfortunately the SustenPass had a rock fall and was closed so we decided not to do the loop today, but maybe a few diversions.

With Leroy burning more oild that a Tai Massage Parlour, we needed to stop at the nearest garage and see if they could find us something. Very nice mechanic who spoke engliosh, located 1/2 litre of 0w40 for Leroy and aftar a barter, 14 euros was handed over. Should keep him going to the end!

Grimselpass didnt disappoint, only down side was getting close to the top we travelled through the clouds and could bareley see the car in front, but we soldered on. Dropping down now into towards Interlaken, the Nabbs Nav, took us on a short detour on what you would call in the the UK and Hill Climb with a element of Welsh Rally Stages! When we asked a local in his 4x4 if we could get to Interlaken through the route, he looked, smiled and then laughed....So after a swift "U" turn, we head back down the track and onto the main road.

Now safely on the right road, we headed down to the tip of the Lake to Beurnz where they had a local wood carving festival underway, so a small stop for lunch (Great to raid a local COOP for some sandwiches, drinks and Mikes BUGLES!) we sat under a canopy near the lake and discussed the morning.

Not saying that the Swiss like roadworks, but they shut roads without warning and again today, we found ourselves in peoples back gardens, trying to find alternates, only to be told "Sorry Road Closed..kapput!"

So hheading back around the lake in the other direction, the Nabbs Nav this time came up trumps and dropped us onto an old road that was literally on the lakes edge. We pulled over to look at Interlaken from around 3 miles away, the water and Mike and Andy decided that this must be their only chance to go swimming in Lake 4 out 4, so they donned their swimmies and proceeded cautiously into the ICY water. Refreshing was the word of the day! Andy felt like he had just gone into the lake with Wim Hoff and his Ice Therapy treatment, looking at the Badger paddling around.

Normal service resumed and a stop to let the swans and kids cross the road, a look at the paddle steamer and then a short detour in Interlaken, got us to the lodgings for the evening and the Swiss Chatel,

Jan decided to have a few wetties!

Great place, very friendly staff as Andy went off in search of a Bank to change his old Swiss cash up, the team re-assemvbled like the Avnegers to go out for dinner in the Old Town.

Wehere we saw some great folk dancing!!!!!! I call it that, but the average age of the dancers must of been 85! More like shuffling!

So to the resturant, where we must of had the most stressed waiting team, 30 minutes for a drink, then another 10 to order food, then it all came out not the way we ordered, but we carried on regardless and after a few stiens of local beer, we were none the wiser.

Out for a short walk to look at the wonderful scenery and sites, before heading back for a night cap at the hotel and some kip before the long journey to Metz tomorrow.
